[Problem] To provide an artificial blood vessel which can remain open for a long time, and a method for producing the same. [Solution] The present invention is a cracking-resistant artificial blood vessel (10) provided with: a base section (1) obtained by joining a plurality of silk fibroin fibers having silk sericin adhered to the surface thereof to make silk fibroin fiber bundles, knitting the silk fibroin fiber bundles into a tube shape by double Russel knitting, and removing the silk sericin； and a spongy covering section (2) by which the surface of the base section (1) is covered with silk fibroin； the thickness of the covering section (2) on the front portion of the base section (1) being 0.8 mm or more and the moisture content being 60% or higher.L'invention fournit un vaisseau sanguin artificiel pouvant être maintenu ouvert sur une longue durée, et un procédé de fabrication de celui-ci. L'épaisseur de la partie revêtement (2) de la portion côté surface de la partie base (1), est supérieure ou égale à 0,8mm, et la teneur en eau est supérieure ou égale à 60%.【課題】長期間開存させることが可能な人工血管及びその製造方法を提供すること。 【解決手段】本発明は、表面に絹セリシンが付着した絹フィブロイン繊維を複数本合わせて絹フィブロイン繊維束とし、該絹フィブロイン繊維束をダブルラッセル編みにて管状に編成し、絹セリシンを除去して得られる基部１と、該基部１の表面を絹フィブロインで覆ったスポンジ状の被覆部２と、を備え、基部１の表側部分の被覆部２の厚みが０．８ｍｍ以上であり、含水率が６０％以上である非クラック性の人工血管１０である。
