PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical camera and a trocar which comprise a camera with an illumination part adjacent thereto and suppress occurence of a flare or ghost in an image captured by a camera.SOLUTION: A medical camera 6 comprises: an imaging part 52 an illumination part 9 adjacent to the imaging part and a translucent cover 25 disposed on the front faces of the imaging part 52 and the illumination part 9. The translucent cover 25 includes a shielding part 51 for shielding the imaging part 52 against light of the illumination part 9.
