PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter capable of reducing the burden of a patient without requiring frequent operations and of removing a wide range of blood clots or the like quickly and easily.
SOLUTION: In a blood vessel catheter device 1 having a catheter element and a catheter shaft, which is inserted into a blood vessel for sucking and removing the blood clots in the blood vessel or for injecting a medical liquid, a tubular element 3 of the catheter element is inserted into a tubular member 4 of the catheter shaft. Furthermore, a distal end of the tubular element 3 protrudes from a distal end of the tubular member 4 of the catheter shaft to form a suction port for the blood clots, a proximal end of the tubular element 3 is located in the catheter shaft, the lumen of the tubular element 3 and the lumen of the catheter shaft communicate with each other, and the blood clots are sucked or the medical liquid is injected from the proximal end of the tubular member 4 of the catheter shaft.
