PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling taking out apparatus capable of readily carrying out an alignment of a seedling pushing tool and simply and rapidly pushing out a seedling by equipping the apparatus with a transportation means for placing cell trays and transporting the cell trays in a fixed direction and the specific seedling pushing tool. SOLUTION: This seedling taking out apparatus is equipped with a transportation means for placing cell trays S and transporting the cell trays in a fixed direction and a seedling pushing apparatus 8 for pushing out one lateral line of seedlings in the cell trays S for raising seedlings of a plurality of seeding hills longitudinally and latitudinally. In the operation, the seedling taking out apparatus 1 is preferably installed in the vicinity of a seedling feed part of a seedling transplanter. When a seedling is pushed out by the seedling pushing tool 8, the apparatus is preferably equipped with a means for bending the cell tray S so that the opening sides of the cell trays S are laid outside.
