A nutrient-coated soil conditioner using light weight materials such as perlite powder and loess is provided to slowly release targeted nutrients, thereby enriching the land. The nutrient-coated soil conditioner is prepared by mixing a matrix composed of organic substances with nutrients having a cation exchange capability, and coating the resultant slurry with an expansive inorganic material.
