PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which standing gathers provided over the almost entire length of a product are not easily kinked, a standing property is not easily lowered, side leakage is prevented, the standing gathers are not easily turned during use, and a fit feeling is not easily lowered.SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes: an absorbent body 2 having an absorber 23 the standing gathers 3 at a side part 2S of the absorbent body 2 and rear flaps 4 on both side parts of a rear area C. The absorbent article 1 has three individual package folding lines formed when it is individually packaged. The standing gathers 3 have a side sheet 31 and an elastic member 32 fixed to the free end part 31f. The fixing part 34b of the elastic member 32 is positioned at the front from the front area individual package folding line L1, and the fixing part 34c of the elastic member 32 is positioned at the back from the rear area second individual package folding line L3.
