PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an individually packaged absorbent article which has excellent operability in taking out an absorbent article and disposability of a used absorbent article, and can reduce the material cost and reduce the amount of waste.SOLUTION: In an individually packaged state, the front end of a body releasing material 10 is fixed to the inner surface close to the front end of a packaging sheet 11, and the rear end side part of the packaging sheet 11 which is the other end side in the longitudinal direction of a fixed part 13 is folded up with a light incontinence pad 1 and the body releasing material 10. In the folded-up part, the packaging sheets 11 are fixed to each other at side edge seal parts 15 of both side parts, thereby forming a bag-like part 17 having an opening 16 directed toward the front end.
