PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pest repellent composition capable of maintaining stable repellent effect for long time.SOLUTION: There is provided a pest repellent composition containing a pest repellent component, a solvent, and a porous particle. The porous particle is a particle which is aggregated by primary particle containing silica as component forming pores. In an infrared absorption spectrum of the porous particles, a ratio between maximum absorbance in a range of 3730 to 3750 cm-1, I1, and maximum absorbance in a range of 1160 to 1260 cm-1, I2, (I1/I2) of 0.005 or less.
