An aqueous composition comprising: (a) an acyl isethionate of formula (I): wherein R1 is an alkyl or alkenyl group having from (7) to (21) carbon atoms and M+ is a cation； and (b) a further surfactant selected from nonionic surfactants, cationic surfactants and anionic surfactants other than those of formula (I)； wherein component (a) and component (b) together comprise more than (12) wt% of the composition.L'invention concerne une composition aqueuse comprenant: a) un iséthionate d'acyle de formule (I) dans laquelle R1 est un groupe alkyle ou alcényle présentant 7 à 21 atomes de carbone, et M+ est un cation； et b) un autre tensioactif sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par des tensioactifs nonioniques, des tensioactifs cationiques et des tensioactifs anioniques autres que ceux de formule (I).
