PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article for a low-birth-weight newborn which can be used while suppressing hindrance to medical care.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 is equipped with second slits 32 and elastic members 42 which are capable of folding the absorbent article in a forward and backward direction around a fold line FL1 along a width direction. In a natural state where a force applied to the absorbent article is released after the absorbent article is planarly developed, an angle formed between a first region R1 extending forward from the fold line and a second region R2 extending backward from the fold line is 0 to 120 degrees.
