<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the workload in preparing input data required for a risk assessment. <P>SOLUTION: The risk assessment apparatus comprises: design data storage means 4 for storing design data of a portion; inspection data storage means 8 for storing inspection result data of the portion; performance data storage means 9 for storing actual performance data of a plant; risk assessment means 10 for performing a risk assessment by receiving the design data, the inspection result data, and the actual performance data. The apparatus also comprises: means for reading maintenance history data from history data storage means; and means for determining whether or not data to update the design data and/or the performance data is included in the read maintenance history data, and updating one or both of the design data stored in the design data storage means and the actual performance data stored in the performance data storage means, on the basis of the read maintenance history data, if it is determined that the data to update the design data and/or the performance data is included. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p>
