The method involves selecting a vegetative surface in soil comprising a ragweed plant (4) that is selected in a growth period, and supplying an infrared radiation source with given power by using a gas radiant burner provided with a combustion medium having knitted metal fibers i.e. Bekinit(RTM: Sintered Titanium Fibers). The ragweed plant is irradiated with the infrared radiation source during exposition time adapted to power so as to cause thermal impact to the ragweed plant and reduce exposition of the ragweed plant to infrared radiation for the vegetative surface.La présente invention est relative à un procédé de traitement contre lambroisie comportant les étapes consistant à : a) sélectionner une surface végétative au sol comportant au moins un plant dambroisie sélectionné en période de croissance b) fournir une source de rayonnement infrarouge à une puissance P donnée c) irradier ledit plant dambroisie avec ladite source de rayonnement infrarouge durant un temps dexposition τ adapté à ladite puissance P, de manière à de manière à provoquer un choc thermique audit plant dambroisie et à réduire lexposition au rayonnement infrarouge pour la surface végétative.
