PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound healing agent which can absorb exudate and can remain the absorbed exudate in a wound site moderately, has a high cellular affinity, and is excellent in biodegradability.SOLUTION: A wound healing agent comprises protein (A) having a GAGAGS sequence (1) and the following amino acid sequence (X) and/or the following amino acid sequence (X). A ratio of a total of a β turn structure and a random coil structure in (A) measured by a circular dichroism spectrum method is 60 to 85%, a ratio of a total of a number of amino acids in all (X) and a number of amino acids of all (X) to a total number of amino acids in (A) is 50 to 70%, a bulk density is 1-30 mg/cm3 and a water content is 0-20 wt.%. The amino acid sequence (X) is at least one amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of three kinds of specific sequences.
