PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the stress given to chickens when performing a forced molting or an induced molting by specially irradiating chickens with short-wavelength light among single wavelength light to reduce the oviposition, as well as to suppress an economical loss to extend a breeding period by accelerating a restoration of the oviposition and egg quality after the molting, and also to provide convenience to an egg gathering by irradiating chickens with short-wavelength light to adjust the oviposition time of the chickens.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of adjusting chicken oviposition by light irradiation, in which an oviposition of chickens is suppressed or an oviposition time of chickens is adjusted by irradiating chickens with at least one single wavelength light selected from a wavelength region of 400 to 550 nm.
