A self-propelled massage mechanism capable of optionally changing a reclining angle includes a folding chair and a massage mechanism. The massage mechanism is interlinked with two mandrels via single drive motor to achieve a synchronous action of a first massage unit, a second massage unit and two displacement assembly. The two displacement assembly can allow two driving gears to act in concert with a passive gear, so as to do an engaged displacement along two webbings, thereby avoiding a configuration restriction of track. Allowing the massage mechanism to act in concert with two webbings and be installed at a folding chair can make the reclining angle optionally changed with the characteristic of the folding chair and can promote use variability of the massage mechanism.
