The invention relates to a method for distributing fish (P) in order to count, sort or measure them, wherein: • - A water flow likely to contain fish (P) is discharged via a conveying pipe (2) into a buffer tank (4). • - The water and fish (P) are removed, by overflowing, from this buffer tank (4) on to a distribution table (3). The invention also relates to a device (1) for distributing fish (P), particularly for using this method, comprising a pipe (2) for conveying a water flow likely to contain fish (P) in the direction of a distribution table (3), the water conveying pipe (2) discharging into a buffer tank (4) communicating with the distribution table (3) via an overflow edge (5) forming first means of removing the water flow.Linvention concerne un procédé de répartition de poissons (P) afin de procéder à leur comptage, leur tri ou leur mesure selon lequel : • - On déverse un flux deau susceptible de contenir des poissons (P) par une canalisation dacheminement (2) dans un bassin tampon (4). • - On évacue par débordement leau et les poissons (P) depuis ce bassin tampon (4) sur une table de répartition (3). Linvention concerne aussi un dispositif de répartition (1) de poissons (P), notamment pour la mise en œuvre de ce procédé, comportant une canalisation dacheminement (2) dun flux deau susceptible de contenir des poissons (P) en direction dune table de répartition (3), la canalisation dacheminement (2) deau se déversant dans un bassin tampon (4) communiquant avec la table de répartition (3) au travers dun bord de débordement (5) formant des premiers moyens dévacuation du flux deau.
