The composition of pendimethalin capsule suspension comprising a herbicidally effective amount of the microencapsulated pendimethalin wherein the microcapsules comprising said herbicidally effective amount of pendimethalin, encapsulated within a polymer wall, said polymer wall is formed in situ by reaction interfacial polymerization occurring between a first phase dispersed in a second phase, wherein at least one of said first and second phases characterized by that includes a predetermined amount of at least one organic acid salt and an alkali or alkaline earth metal, wherein the organic acid is selected from acetic acid, propionic acid, citric acid, fumaric acid, tartaric acid, oxalic acid, succinic acid, valeric acid, malonic acid, glutaric acid, adipic acid and phthalic kisloty.2.
