An accommodation beam splitter (1) is placed adjacent to a beam splitter (8) for a photocell (6) with an achromatic lens (7). The interferometer (9) has its own beam splitter (11) and a SLD (Super Luminescence Diode) with a collimator lens (10). The instrument includes a focusing lens (12) and a CCD (Charged-Coupled Device) camera (4) adjacent to a magnification changing lens (5). The SLD may be an Avalanche Photodiode.
