A system for constructing an audio and/or video studio comprises a plurality of modular elements 1000 which co-operate together. The modular elements comprise wall modules having an outer envelope 1100 that engages with an inner sleeve. The system may include door, window and corner modules. Sound insulation may be provided by damped membrane insulation panels provided within the wall modules. The corner modules may integrally house at least one dynamic tuned resonator (DTR) which produces an inverse phase signal to attenuate specific low frequency sounds. The DTR may be controlled by a digital sound processor unit which receives a signal from a microphone within the studio. The system for constructing a studio is modular in design and can be manufactured off-site.
