PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having an absorbing body folded along folds extending in a front-rear direction, where absorbing performance of the absorbing body is effectively utilized.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper 10 includes: an absorbing body 40 having a pair of first folds FL1 and a pair of second folds FL2 extending in a front-rear direction； and a skin-side sheet. The absorbing body includes: a first region 401 located between the pair of first folds and including the widthwise middle of the absorbing body； a pair of second regions 402 located between the second folds, which are located on the inner side of the first folds in the width direction, and the first folds, and each disposed on the skin-facing side of the first region； and a pair of third regions 403 located on the outer side of the second folds in the width direction and each disposed on the skin-facing side of the second regions. The pair of second folds are located at a distance from each other in the width direction.
