PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope light source device and an endoscope system that stabilize emission of light of a light source even when voltage applied to the light source increases temporarily in emitting illumination light for imaging a biomedical tissue.SOLUTION: An endoscope light source device comprises: a detection unit that when a voltage spike is generated in voltage applied to a light source during emission of illumination light, detects whether or not power to be supplied to the light source satisfies a condition of reaching a first power allowable upper limit value previously set depending on the light source; and a control body unit for controlling current to be supplied to the light source.
