PURPOSE: A method of preparing a pre-washed rice with the content of Houttuynia cordata is provided to make the rice product bear excellent taste and flavors while facilitating the intake of the Houttuynia favorable to the health. CONSTITUTION: In a method of preparing a pre-washed rice, a material of Houttuynia cordata with roots, stems and leaves is cleaned, and dried. The Houttuynia material is pulverized with a particle size of 30 micrometers or less. The Houttuynia powder is put in water in a ratio of 20:80 to make a Houttuynia solution. The Houttuynia solution of 40 liters is consumed to make a pre-washed rice of 10,000kg. A non-polished brown rice with the moisture content of 14% or less is stored in a tank, and the Houttuynia solution is sprayed thereto while elevating the moisture content thereof to be 15%. The rice(1) soaked with the Houttuynia solution(2) is allowed to stand for one hour, and the Houttuynia solution is again sprayed thereto while elevating the moisture content thereof to be 16-17%.
