PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape type disposable diaper including a fastening tape excellent in operability and durability.SOLUTION: A tape type disposable diaper is divided into a back body 1, a front body 2, and a crotch part 3 positioned between the back body 1 and the front body 2, in the longitudinal direction, and in the back body 1 and the front body 2, at least a pair of right and left fastening tapes 10 are attached to each of right and left lateral parts. The fastening tape 10 has a base end part connected to one of the right and left lateral parts, and an extension part extending from the base end part toward the outside in a width direction of the diaper. The fastening tape 10 is provided with a notch part 20 at a position of at least one of the lower edge of the side of the crotch part 3 and the upper edge on a side opposite to the lower edge, the position including a boundary between the base end part and the extention part.
