PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forceps plug for an endoscope in which an inner projection formed near the opening end of a lid body roughly in a cap shape surely gets over a large diameter part formed at the outer circumferential part of a forceps plug main body and the lid body is smoothly attached to the forceps plug main body.
SOLUTION: The forceps plug for the endoscope has configuration in which an outer circumferential groove 21 is formed at the outer circumferential part of the forceps plug main body 11, an annular inner projection 23 freely engageable and disengageable with/from the outer circumferential groove 21 is formed in a projected condition inwards from the inner circumferential part near the opening end of the lid body 12, and the part of the inner projection 23 of the lid body 12 is engaged with the outer circumferential groove 21 after being slid in the state of being pushed, widened and elastically deformed along the outer circumferential part of the forceps plug main body 11, wherein the outer circumferential shape of the lid body 12 roughly in the cap shape is formed into an inverse tapered shape whose diameter is gradually reduced from the side of a peak part 22a to the side of an opening end part 22b.
