SOLUTION: An endoscope cap 50 has a bottomed cylindrical cover 52 that can be attached to and detached from the tip of the insertion portion 30 of the endoscope 10 having a cap fixing groove 39 on the outer periphery of the insertion portion 30. In the endoscope cap 50 having the above, the cover 52 includes an opening end portion 56 into which the tip of the insertion portion 30 is inserted, a window portion 53 opening to a side surface, the window portion 53 and the opening end. And a mounting projection 55 which is disposed between the cap 56 and the portion 56 and which projects inward from the inner surface of the cover 52 and engages with the cap fixing groove 39.
