A fragrance composition is provided to reproduce a fragrance of rosa rugosa thunb. var. rugosa by containing a dimethyl octanol and a dimethyl octanyl acetate as a principal component of rosa rugosa thunb. var. rugosa such as geraniol, Nerol, cis-3-hexenyl acetate, citronellol and Phenethyl alcohol, to improve taste of the fragrance and to be used as a composition for skin external application. A fragrance composition reproducing the fragrance of rosa rugosa thunb. var. rugosa comprises a fragrance component of the rosa rugosa thunb. var. rugosa, a dimethyl octanol and a dimethyl octanyl acetate as an active ingredient. The fragrance component of the rosa rugosa thunb. var. rugosa is geraniol, Nerol, cis-3-hexenyl acetate, Citronellol and Phenethyl alcohol and additionally 3-Methyl-3-butenol, prenol, citral, Benzyl alcohol, geranyl acetate, citronellyl acetate, Cyclohexyl isothiocyanate, cis-3-Hexenol, 3-Methyl-3-butenal and neryl acetate.본 발명은 SPME법에 의해 해당화의 향취성분으로서 분석된 게라니올(Geraniol), 네롤(Nerol), 시스-3-헥세닐 아세테이트(cis-3-hexenyl acetate), 시트로넬롤(Citronellol), 페네칠 알코올(Phenethyl alcohol) 등에, 풀잎의 그린한 꽃 향취를 가진 인공 합성 물질인 디메칠 옥탄올(Dimethyl octanol)과 신선하고 달콤한 꽃 향취를 가진 인공 합성 물질인 디메칠 옥타닐 아세테이트(Dimethyl octanyl acetate)를 함유함으로써 해당화의 고유 향취를 재현하면서 뛰어난 기호성을 갖는 향료 조성물에 관한 것이다.
