PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both an attractant for mites capable of attracting even the mites holding on a deep layer part or fibers of a Tatami mat, a carpet, a Futon, etc., collecting the mites in a surface layer part which is a periphery of the attractant and effectively exterminating the mites without sticking to a material to be exterminated (the Tatami, carpet, etc.), and without damaging the material to be exterminated and a method for exterminating the mites.SOLUTION: This attractant for the mites comprises an attractant which is a liquid at normal temperature for the mites and a nontacky resin. The attractant for the mites is preferably esters of one kind selected from tetrahydrogeraniol, geraniol, nerol, linalool and citronellol with one kind selected from acetic acid, propionic acid, butyric acid and isobutyric acid and one or more kinds of compounds selected from benzyl propionate, nerolidol, terpineol, n-nonyl alcohol, farnesol, citral diethyl acetal, geranylacetone, tetrahydrogeraniol, geraniol, nerol, linalool and citronellol.COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO(修正有)【課題】 畳、絨毯、布団などの深層部や繊維にしがみついているダニ類をも誘引し、誘引剤周辺である表層部に集めて効果的に駆除することができ、また、被駆除物(畳、絨毯等)にくっついたりせず、被駆除物を傷めることもないダニ類誘引物質及びダニ類駆除方法を提供する。【解決手段】 常温で液体であるダニ類の誘引物質と、非粘着性樹脂とからなるダニ類誘引剤であり、上記ダニ類の誘引物質としては、テトラヒドロゲラニオール、ゲラニオール、ネロール、リナロール、シトロネロールから選ばれる1種と、酢酸、プロピオン酸、酪酸、イソ酪酸から選ばれる1種とのエステル類、プロピオン酸ベンジル、ネロリドール、テルピネオール、n-ノニルアルコール、ファルネソール、シトラールジエチルアセタール、ゲラニルアセトン、テトラヒドロゲラニオール、ゲラニオール、ネロール、リナロール、シトロネロールより選ばれる1種以上の化合物であることが好ましい。
