PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for simply and inexpensively carrying out the analysis process for liquid during steps of metal refining and the process of metal refining such as a recovery step of recovering a metal of interest without being affected by the generation of scales.SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid analysis method to measure parameters about a metal contained in a liquid after acidifying a liquid obtained at the time of metal refining, the analysis method including: a complexing agent addition step of adding a complexing agent to a test solution obtained by dissolving or melting insoluble scale in acid, the scale containing a metal salt by alkali compounds, being a scale that is generated at the time of metal refining; an acidification step to change the test solution to be acidic after the complexing agent adding step; and an analysis step for measuring the parameters about the metal contained in the liquid by adding the test solution to the liquid.
