PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice planting machine that can reliably understand a consumption rate of mat-like seedlings per a set area during planting operation, and reliably detect decrease in an amount of a residual seedling.SOLUTION: The rice planting machine includes an upper existence sensor S1 at an upper position and a lower existence sensor S2 at a lower position to detect the mat-like seedlings placed on a platform. A seedling consumption rate calculation means 55 calculates the seedling consumption rate based on a counted number of mat-like seedlings detected by an upper existence sensor S1 and a travel distance measured by a travel distance measuring means 51, and displays the seedling consumption rate on a monitor 31.
