PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique associated with a pedometer that merely and accurately computes a walking speed on which walk-associated information calculation is based in consideration of the problem point that a pedometer which provides useful walk-associated information on a walking distance, a walking speed, a motion strength, or a calorie consumption, etc., together with the number of steps taken may provide walk-associated information different from known numeral contents.SOLUTION: Computing means for walking speed included in a pedometer represents variation in rate of a footstep for a walk pitch to a height as a section linear function represented by a linear function for each of three lower, intermediate, and upper pitch sections, and then accurately corrects the footstep.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】歩行距離、歩行速度、運動強度、または消費カロリーなどの有益な歩行関連情報を歩数と併せて提供する歩数計において、歩行関連情報が公知の数値内容と合わないといった問題を経験した。本発明は、このような問題点に鑑み、歩行関連情報算出の基礎となる歩行速度を、単純にかつ正確に演算する歩数計に関する技術の提供を課題とする。【解決手段】本発明に係る歩数計に備えられる歩行速度の演算手段は、歩行ピッチに対する歩幅の身長に対する割合の変化を、下方、中間、および上方の3つのピッチ区間に区分した区分ごとに一次関数で表した区分線形関数で捉えて、歩幅を正確に補正することを特徴とするものである。【選択図】図1
