PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blinking kind identifying device, a blinking kind identifying method, and a blinking kind identifying program improving blinking kind identifying property even to a driver having blinking wave property different from that of a normal driver having normal blinking characteristic and enabling the eye blinking kind identification of unspecified drivers.
SOLUTION: The blinking kind identifying device 10 inputs the blinking waveform data when the driver is awake in a blinking waveform input section 101 and calculates out the standard blinking waveform characteristic quantity of the driver in the standard blinking waveform characteristic quantity calculate section 103. Further the blinking kind identifying device inputs the blinking waveform data which is an object to be identified of the blinking kind of the driver in the blinking waveform input section 101 and calculates the blinking waveform characteristic quantity which is the object to be identified in the blinking waveform characteristic quantity calculate section 104 of the object to be identified from the blinking waveform data which is the object to be identified. The blinking identifying characteristic quantity calculate section 105 calculates the blinking identifying characteristic quantity for inputting to the HMM for identifying the blinking waveform kind by correcting the blinking waveform characteristic quantity which is the object to be identified using the standard blinking waveform characteristic quantity.
