An avocado cutter (10) is disclosed. The cutter includes a rotatable blade (20), and a pair of parallel, movable, a pair of parallel conveyor belts (44, 46, see also figure 8) cooperatively orientated toward each other to form a V. A plurality of ridges (see 59, figure 7) protrude from the undersides of the conveyor belts. A least one belt agitation finger (see 58, figure 7) is positioned beneath each of the conveyor belts. In operation, the ridges strike the fingers as they pass by, causing vibration of the belt. The vibration aids in orientation of the avocados being conveyed prior to cutting.
