The storage building has a gutter (5) to drain away rain water from which an open rain pipe (16) connects to a drainage duct (26) in a column (23) carrying the guttering. A condensation collecting gutter (12,31) is also provided from which a condensation outlet pipe (30,33) connects to the duct in the column. The rain pipe and condensation outlet pipe merge into a common drainage duct. Between the two pipes is a water lock (15) which is formed by the edge of the rain pipe projecting outside the building. This is at a lower level than the upper edge (42) of the condensation gutter.
