The present invention relates to an apparatus for peeling onion comprising: a base which is a main body a chain belt conveyer which is installed on an upper portion of the base and can continuously rotate in the lengthwise direction of the base a plurality of buckets installed at intervals on the upper portion of the chain belt conveyer a cutting member which is installed on the upper portion of the base and cuts roots and stems of onions placed in the buckets and moved and a peeling member which is connected to the rear side of the base and removes the peels of onions having passed through the cutting member. According to the structure of the present invention, efficiency of peeling work is increased by sequentially and automatically removing the outer peels of onions by using compressed air after cutting stems and roots of onions at the same time regardless of the size of the onions.
