The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for blocking ultraviolet rays and, more specifically, to a cosmetic composition for blocking ultraviolet rays, containing an oil-in-water type emulsion in which an oil-phase part is dispersed in a water-phase part, wherein the oil-phase part contains: (a) at least two kinds of inorganic ultraviolet blocking agents having an average particle diameter of greater than or equal to 1 nm but less than 50 nm and (b) at least one inorganic ultraviolet blocking agent having an average particle diameter of 50 to 200 nm.
