To provide a walking assisting chair having a function of assisting walking of a user in addition to a function as a conventional electric motor wheelchair.SOLUTION: A walking assisting chair includes a vehicle part, an elevating seat surface, a seat surface elevating mechanism, saving seat surfaces, and seat surface saving mechanism. The vehicle part includes driving wheels to move on the ground. The elevating seat surface is mounted on the vehicle part, and to be elevated/lowered between a first position where the elevating seat surface is arranged as a part of a seat surface of the electric motor wheelchair and a second position where the elevating seat surface is further separated from the ground compared with the first position, advanced to a front side of the electric motor wheelchair, and also inclined forward at a first angle.
