PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a down-sized fishing reel that suppresses formation of a dead space on an outer peripheral side of a reverse rotation-preventing device.SOLUTION: A fishing reel includes a reel body, a drive shaft 6 that rotates by a handle operation, a reverse rotation-prevention device 20 interposed between the reel body and the drive shaft 6, and a cylindrical member 30 of a cylindrical shape rotatably supported by the reel body and arranged on the outer peripheral side of the reverse rotation-prevention device 20. A switching control member 24 engages with the cylindrical member 30 of the reverse rotation-prevention device 20, and by the rotation operation of the cylindrical member 30, the drive shaft 6 is switched between a reverse rotation prevention state and a reverse rotation permission state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
