PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a decrease in rotation performance of a pinion gear in a spinning reel and smoothly move a spool shaft in a front-back direction.SOLUTION: A spinning reel 100 comprises a spool shaft 2 fitted with a spool 3, a pinion gear 5, a collar member 15, a nut 11, and an elastic member 20. The pinion gear 5 is arranged around a shaft of the spool shaft 2 and non-rotatably fitted with a rotor 4. The collar member 15 has a cylindrical shape, is rotatably arranged on the spool shaft 2 on the side of one end of the pinion gear 5, and supports the spool shaft 2. The nut 11 has a cylindrical shape, is arranged so as to house the collar member 15, and is screwed to the pinion gear 5.
