PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel-like acidic thick liquid diet or nutritional supplement for administration by tube feeding, which is injectable in a short time during administration by tube feeding without an excessive load, has a slight tube residue after administration by tube feeding and prevents a gastroesophageal reflow and leakage from fistula and a gel-like thick liquid diet or nutritional supplement that has a slight bacterial contamination and is excellent in terms of hygiene.
SOLUTION: The gel-like liquid diet or nutritional supplement satisfies the conditions of (a) having pH of 3-5, (b) containing 0.1-1 mass% of a water-soluble hemicellulose and/or HM pectin, (c) containing agar and Psyllium seed gum in the ratio of 1 pt.mass of agar and 1-8 pts.mass of Psyllium seed gum and (d) containing 0.5-1.5 mass% of (c) agar and Psyllium seed gum.
