PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article that includes a surface sheet which is capable of adequately transferring a weak acidifier to a wearers skin and which is capable of maintaining the pH on the surface on a skin-facing side to be weakly acidic even when excreted fluid such as urine is being repeatedly expelled.SOLUTION: The absorbent article includes a surface sheet that comprises non-woven fabric which has base portions and projections projecting toward the skin facing side of the absorbent article from the base portions. Each of the projections has an apex and side wall portions, and contains a weak acidifier in the apex and the side wall portions.
