PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel arthralgia improving agent which alleviates the arthralgia associated with osteoarthrosis and the like.SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition or a so-called food for specified health uses contains Peucedanum japonicum Thunb or an allied species thereof and/or an extract thereof, particularly a water extract as an active ingredient. Other pharmaceutically necessary additives, such as an excipient, binder, and disintegrators are added. And in production of a general food, an effective amount of extracts are added to produce an arthralgia improving food.【課題】 変形性関節症などによる関節痛を緩和する新たな関節痛改善剤を提供する。【解決手段】 ボタンボウフウ(Peucedanum japonicum Thunb. var. japonicum)やその近縁植物の植物体及び/又はその抽出物、特に水による抽出物を有効成分とし、その他製剤上必要な賦形剤や結合剤、崩壊剤などの添加剤を加えて、医薬組成物やいわゆる特定保健用食品とする。また、一般用食品の製造において有効量の抽出物を加えて関節痛改善効果を奏する食品とする。【選択図】なし
