To provide a tape type absorbent article having an easily expandable structure.SOLUTION: An absorbent article comprises: a longitudinal direction (L)； a width direction (W) orthogonal to the longitudinal direction； a front girth area (S3)； a rear girth area (S1)； a crotch area (s2) between the front girth area and the rear girth area； an absorber (40)arranged at least in the crotch area； a pair of flap parts (80) extending to the outside than the absorber in the width direction in the rear girth area； and fastening tapes (90) provided in the pair of flap parts and having hooks engaged with the front girth area. The fastening tape has an expandable folded part folded into three or more layers. The flap part is folded with a longitudinal folding line (FL3) as a starting point along the longitudinal direction in a folded state of the absorbent article.
