PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release an intermittent operation mode immediately after start of the intermittent operation mode.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes: a fan disposed in a casing having an inlet and an outlet； detecting means for detecting air pollution； and control means controlling the fan, and has an intermittent operation mode for intermittently operating the fan when a degree of air pollution detected by the air pollution detecting means is low. An operation of the fan is started when a fan operation starting condition is satisfied after the lapse of a prescribed time after stop of the fan in the intermittent operation mode.
