PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of carrying out an accurate operation even when a plurality of operable regions of interest exist.SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes a determination part, a lapse time measurement part, a selection part and a change part. The determination part determines which photographing mode is set when receiving contact with a touch panel by a user. The lapse time measurement part measures lapse time from carry out of the operation to the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus to receipt of the contact. The setting part selects a region of interest to be operated from a plurality of regions of interest displayed on the touch panel, on the basis of a photographing mode and the lapse time determined by the determination part.
