To provide a nurse call system which appropriately prevents a nurse call slave unit using a sensor from erroneously announcing a call without wasting time and effort of a medical worker.
SOLUTION: When a patient makes a call by operating a call operation section 3, the sensor 4 for detecting a predetermined condition stops to announce a call. After a lapse of a predetermined time and the sensor 4 is released from suspension of announcing a call. Thus and when a patient makes a call by operating the call operation section 3, the sensor 4 stops to announce a call because a medical worker is expected to hurry to the patient in response to the patients call. With such a configuration and a medical worker no longer needs to carry out an operation to temporarily stop the sensor 4 announcing a call in order to prevent an announcing due to an accidental operation of the sensor 4 by the medical worker. In addition and the sensor automatically returns to a condition capable of announcing a call after a lapse of a predetermined time.
