A method of manufacturing a dental prosthesis comprising an infrastructure of at least a first material partially covered with a cover material different from said at least one first material, which comprises the steps in which an infrastructure (1) is produced by any method, a numerical model of the desired shape of the final dental prosthesis to be obtained, is deposited on the appropriate part of the infrastructure covering material in an amount in excess of the numerical model of the final dental prosthesis in order to obtain an intermediate template, positioning and fixing the infrastructure-covering material assembly, determining the position of the infrastructure in the machining unit and machining the overlay material set to excess to obtain the desired shape of the final prosthesis. Procédé de fabrication d'une prothèse dentaire composée d'une infrastructure en au moins un premier matériau recouverte en partie d'un matériau de recouvrement différent dudit au moins un premier matériau, qui comporte les étapes dans lesquelles on réalise une infrastructure (1) par un procédé quelconque, on réalise un modèle numérique de la forme souhaitée de la prothèse dentaire finale à obtenir, on dépose sur la partie adéquate de l'infrastructure le matériau de recouvrement en une quantité en excès par rapport au modèle numérique de la prothèse dentaire finale à obtenir pour ainsi obtenir un gabarit intermédiaire, on positionne et on fixe l'ensemble infrastructure-matériau de recouvrement, on détermine la position de l'infrastructure dans l'unité d'usinage et on usine le matériau de recouvrement mis en excès jusqu'à obtenir la forme souhaitée de la prothèse finale.
