PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition with pH response characteristics.SOLUTION: There is provided the cosmetic composition containing a component (A) which is a carboxyl group-modified amylose represented by the following general formula (1), and (B) one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of a perfume, deodorizer, anti-oxidant, antiperspirant, cold sense agent, warm feeling agent, bactericide, moisturizing agent, and oil solution.
