PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nurse call system in which a name of a nurse who is answering on a portable terminal or a number of the answering portable terminal is displayed on a nurse call master unit.SOLUTION: A controller 4 includes: a call destination information storage part 41 for storing relations between slave units 1 and patients and relations between patients and nurses and a terminal information storage part 42 for storing relations between nurses and portable terminals. When a call from a slave unit 1 is generated, the controller CPU 44 reads the portable terminal 5 related to the call source from the storage parts 41 and 42 and transmits a calling signal together with a master unit 3. When the portable terminal 5 called by the slave unit 1 answers, on the basis of information of the answering portable terminal 5, information of an answering nurse is acquired from the terminal information storage part 42 and transmitted to the master unit 3.
