PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mushroom housing container so designed as to cause no damage to the cap parts of mushrooms even when putting the mushrooms in a boxy container in such a fashion that the mushrooms are arranged sideways in an elongation direction. SOLUTION: This mushroom housing container 1 is formed into a boxy shape with its upper side open, and so designed that mushrooms 30 can be arranged sideways in the container in a elongation direction; wherein a projecting portion 20 extending along the direction along which the mushrooms 30 are arranged is formed at the container bottom face part 2 positioned closer to the mushroom caps than the center-of-gravity location M in the elongation direction of the housed mushrooms 30. Resulted from such a structure that the projecting portion 20 is formed, the housed mushrooms are held in the state where their caps are floating from the container bottom face part 2 because the stems of the mushrooms come into contact with the bottom face part 2.
