PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air washer having a simple structure, requiring a low running cost, and highly efficiently cleaning polluted air in the air washer removing pollutants in air by bringing air in contact with water.SOLUTION: This gas-liquid contact type air washer includes a substantially columnar outer tube which has a polluted air inflow hole and a wash water inflow hole in the upper part, and has an outflow hole of washed air, a wash water outflow hole, and a wash water storage part in the lower part. A rotating shaft to which a rotary disk mounted with a plurality of rotary blades is joined, is mounted on the axis of the outer tube. An upper partition plate which has an opened central part and is perpendicularly erected from the inner wall of the outer tube, is provided on the rotary blades, and a lower partition plate which has an opened central part, is formed with an opening part in the inner peripheral part of the outer tube and is similarly perpendicularly erected from the inner wall of the outer tube, is provided under the rotary disk. The rotary disk and the rotary blades are rotated by the rotation of the rotating shaft. This air washer has thus an air blowing function.
